Sicem Saga boasts more than fifty years' experience in the pulp production.

The mill is located in the middle of the Padana flat in northern Italy which has abundant poplar plantations.

Italy has a long experience in poplar cultivation, which is well-known for its first rate quality and fast-growth.

The company was founded by Eng. Giorgio Gazza in 1960 with the aim of recycling wood chips from local saw mills and plywood manufacturers.

Sicem Saga was the first company to produce chemi-mechanical pulp from chips using disk refiners.

Soon after start up in 1961, an innovative impregnation system was introduced to optimize wood pulp production.

This patent method of Eng. Gazza is the key for producing high yield pulp at minimum cost and with maximum quality. It's also been the core of its competitive advantage in the market for over five decades.

Flexibility and product innovation makes it possible for Sicem Saga to produce specialty pulp according to customer requests.
