DRY IMPREGNATION PROCESS JUST STARED UP

The dry imnpregnation plant has just started up in SICEM SAGA. This is a new concept for the chips chemical treatment before refining, allowing more penetration of the reagents into the wood. The first trials are very positive, and our R&D is optimistic in the development of new products and in the improvent of mechanical properties and bulk.

Dry impregnation is the result of a huge investment in SICEM SAGA, also in terms of Engineering and R&D. We are at the very beginning, now the challenge is to proceed with the trials and carefully check the first results before marketing the pulp. The existing plant will always be in operation together with the new installation, and this will guarantee the full continuity of the CMP quality.
