SICEM SAGA SAVES THE CASTLE OF CANOSSA
Maxi-contribution of 105,000 EURO for the redevelopment of the historical manor
The castle of Canossa will return to shine thanks to SICEM SAGA. The capital allocated by the company amounts to more than 100,000 EURO, which will allow for the implementation of various interventions of the site conservation and redevelopment, including the visit routes. "I worked everywhere in Italy, but I never saw a similar attachment to a territory by a company, which guaranteed one of the highest liberal donations unique in recent years," said Mara Bianchi (project coordinator for the Matilda site) during the presentation press conference held at Unindustria. The works will last about 7 months and should begin in the spring of next year. However, during the renovation the castle will continue its educational activities and will remain open. The operation has nothing to do with marketing. "Ours is not a consumer product - says Filippo Gazza, president of SICEM SAGA - But we firmly believe that if a production is ethically managed and has the main objective of improving sustainability, it can make a decisive contribution to employment, to the development of the territory, to the well-being of citizens ".
